Connecting Devices to Hawks-Secure

Android Devices

Navigate to https://hawkswireless.hartwick.edu/guest/hawks_secure_onboard.php?_browser=1
Login with your Hartwick network credentials (do not include the “@hartwick.edu” )
Download QuickConnect and open the app
Agree to terms of service in the Clearpass QuickConnect app
Select Hartwick College
Login with your Hartwick network credentials (do not include the “@hartwick.edu” )
Download the network profile
When prompted, tap “open”. You should be redirected back to the Clearpass QuickConnect app.
- If you are not redirected to the app automatically, try to open the “quick1x.networkconfig” file that you downloaded in a file viewer (usually found in your phone’s “downloads” folder)

Windows

Navigate to https://hawkswireless.hartwick.edu/guest/hawks_secure_onboard.php?_browser=1
Select “ Provisioning to join Hawks_Secure Click Here “ option
Login with your Hartwick network credentials (do not include the “@hartwick.edu”)
Download and start the QuickConnect network configuration application.
- It might verify that you want to keep this configuration profile. Please agree so you can continue with the onboarding process.
Run the downloaded application and agree to allow the application to make changes to your device.
An Onboarding wizard should open to finish configuring device
- Please select yes on all warning messages.
Connect to Hawks-Secure Wi-Fi Network.

Older Android Devices

Navigate to https://hawkswireless.hartwick.edu/guest/hawks_secure_onboard.php?_browser=1
Select the “Provisioning to join Hawks_Secure”
Login with your Hartwick network credentials (do not include the “@hartwick.edu” )
Install the QuickConnect app
- Open app
- Agree to terms
- Select Hartwick College, you should be redirected to hawks wireless page
  - Login with your Hartwick network credentials (do not include the “@hartwick.edu” )
  - Download the network configuration (“quick1x.networkconfig”)
Open the “quick1x.networkconfig” file that was downloaded (usually found in your phone’s “downloads” folder)
- It should open up the Clearpass QuickConnect app and display a message “the device has been provisioned to connect to Hawks-Secure”
Open up the Wifi Settings
In the “Identity” field, input your Hartwick username (Hartwick email without the ‘@hartwick.edu’)
Select the “CA Hawk_Secure” certificate from the dropdown for both certificate options
Tap “Connect”

Mac

Navigate to https://hawkswireless.hartwick.edu/guest/hawks_secure_onboard.php?_browser=1
- Login with your Hartwick network credentials (do not include the “@hartwick.edu”)
- Select “Install the certificate to continue device configuration” and network profile. You will need to click it twice to down both files.
You might get a pop up notification that asks if you want to allow downloads; if so, click “Allow”
- Open Downloads folder and you should see the following two files.
- Click on the certificate (mdps_profile.php.cer) to install. Click 'Add' to confirm installation.
- Click on the download “Hartwick_College.mobileconfig”
Navigate to the “Profiles” tab in the Mac System Settings
- Search “Profile settings”
- Double click the “Device Enrollment” profile at the top
  - It will ask if you are sure you want to install a profile. Click “install”.
Connect to the Hawks-Secure WiFi network

iPhones

Navigate to https://hawkswireless.hartwick.edu/guest/hawks_secure_onboard.php?_browser=1
Login with your Hartwick network credentials (do not include the “@hartwick.edu” )
Select “Install the certificate to continue device configuration”
After downloaded, go to “Profiles” in the phone settings
- Install/ trust the Hartwick CA
Go back to the browser and download the network configuration.\
- install/ trust the configuration settings
You should see a “Completing configuration please wait” countdown. Then be redirected to the Wifi settings.
- If not redirected, please go to the device settings page
Connect to the Hawks-Secure SSID

IPad

Navigate to https://hawkswireless.hartwick.edu/guest/hawks_secure_onboard.php?_browser=1
Select the “Provisioning to join Hawks_Secure”
You will get a pop up notification that asks if you want to allow downloads, Click allow.
Navigate to the “VPN and Device Management”
- Double click the “Device Enrollment” profile at the top
  - It will ask if you are sure you want to install a profile. Click “install”.
    - It might ask twice
Disconnect from Hawks-Guest and Connect to the Hawks-Secure WiFi network
